According to Singapore Department of Statistics, life expectancies in Singapore are getting higher meaning to say, Singaporeans are expected to live longer.
A boy born in 2006 could expect to live an average of 78.0 years. Life expectancy for a boy born in 2003 is at 76.6 years. Females could expect to live longer than males. A girl born in 2006 could expect to live an average of 82.8 years. Life expectancy for a girl born in 2003 is at 81.6 years.
Life expectancies at older ages have also improved. In 2006, Singapore men aged 65 years could expect to live another 17 years on averae, as compared to 16 more years for men aged 65 in 2003. For Singapore women, it is at an average 21 more years as compared to 20 more years for women aged 65 in 2006 and 2003 respectively.
