The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) yesterday launched a three-month trial run of the first line of its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The BRT system has 12 stops and stretches 16km from Chong Nonsi on Rama III Road to the intersection of Ratchadaphisek and Ratchaphruek roads. These buses have their own dedicated lane on the road. The BRT service will be free during the trial period, which lasts until Aug 31.
