The following article is an interesting read. It wrote the possibility of Singapore's Marina Barrage as a likely culprit to the recent many flash floods. Areas like the Orchard Road that have never experienced such serious flash floods are now seeing them frequently.
I strongly suggest reading the article and all its comments as well. However, do take a step back and make objective conclusions, rather than believing everything that was written. I am agreeable to some of the points written.
