Apple's CEO is in hot water this week as security researchers discovered that the iPhone keeps track of a user's location history and saves the information in an unencrypted "secret file". The geolocation coordinates are kept in a file named consolidated.db.
This revelation got Minnesota Senator Al Franken all fired up, causing him to write an open letter to Apple and quiz Steve Jobs on why and how the geotracking is happening. Rumor has it that Apple is calling this a bug.
