Google is experimenting a new sign-in page, featuring significantly wider input boxes for username and password.

This layout is consistent with previously many revamped layout on Google products e.g. Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, following closely to Google+ design.
To switch to the new sign-in layout, simply go to
Gmail and you aren't logged in. You should see a message at the bottom of the page:
"Coming soon: A new sign-in page! Preview it". When you click "Preview it", you'll see a new sign-in page that uses the Google+ design. If you do not see the
"Coming soon...", click on this
link will activate the new layout too.
